This year's apple crop

The ones in the colander are the windfalls. Not a bad crop for the second year from our little tree.

Wombat at Wilson's Prom

Forgot to post this picture I took at Wilson's Promontory. This little wombat was snuffling around at dusk. The picture's been tweaked so you can see things better, as it was fairly dark when it was taken. Posted by Picasa

Beautiful sunset at Lake Eildon

We found some good weather and good campsites on our way back to Sydney for our flight. This is in the Lake Eildon National Park. Posted by Picasa

The moon

The moon's a funny way up compared to back home Posted by Picasa

Aborigine cave art

The hand-stencilling was done by mixing ochre from near-by deposits with liquid, filling the mouth, and blowing it over the hand. Posted by Picasa

Emus by the road side

A fellow camper had told us we wouldn't see emus, not a chance, no, not in all his years of camping, and he loves the outdoors, he does, can't get enough of it.
We saw about 30 all told, on our trip ...
The guy can't have been looking very hard! Posted by Picasa

MacKenzie Falls

The weather brightened up as we got nearer the falls, so Denise could come out from under her GORE-TEX. Posted by Picasa

Wallaby at MacKenzie falls car park

This little wallaby started grazing right outside the van just after I went back to change my jumper. This is one of several shots I took. It's slightly zoomed, so it's a little fuzzy. Posted by Picasa

Australia has a fabulous climate ...

Not in the state of Victoria in spring, it doesn't. Here is Denise preparing for a walk to the MacKenzie falls Posted by Picasa
