The View from the house

This was the view from the sitting room. This is the harbour at Strath (part of the area generally known as Gairloch) where we were staying.

On the way to Gairloch

The Scenery was spectacular on the way up, even if the weather was a little overcast

Before we leave the IoW

... here's the kitchen of the cottage we stayed in. Very olde worlde!

Carisbrook Castle - Stairs to the keep ramparts

I climbed these to get to the keep. They weren't exactly even either. Knackered by the time I got to the top!

Carisbrook Castle - view from the keep ramparts

No models here: we visited Carisbrook Castle on our way to the ferry on our way back home

Model within the model

The model village contains a model of the model, and so on: I think there are four iterations of models within models. This passes for humour amongst modellers.

Another model - cricket on the village green

The two guys by the house spoiling this shot are two of the maintenence crew for the model village

Another Month later ...

OK. I still have some more pictures to post from our summer holiday, and then I'll catch up a bit.

The next few posts are from the Model Village in Godshill on the Isle of Wight. You'll see the date and time stamp in the photos. Just shows how little has been going on ...
This picture shows the scale of the models, with Denise's knees and toes on the right of the picture. The models are fantastically detailed
