She's picked the wrong sport!

Denise "Muttley" Tracey has signed up to run in the Borders Triathlon Series this year, but there are no medals! Still, at the moment the Tri series is a lot less commercial than the current crop of long-distance runs (sometimes called "distance running", but doesn't all running involve a distance of some sort - however short?) where you have to to agree to raise money for a charity from a prescribed list if you want to take part. Very big business these days, apparently. Anyway, it was a cold wet day in Galashiels (it snowed at one point on the way down!) but it was a very well run event, and despite the cold and the pain of exertion, Denise seemed to enjoy it. She did a good time, unofficially (on my watch) of 1 hr 41 mins: official time will be posted soon.

Laurel & Hardy

These figures were on the windowsill in the bar at the Moulin Inn, near Pitlochry, where we stayed for a long weekend back in February. Another one of the pictures I never got round to posting.

Late sun in Limekilns, Fife

Took this in the the home town of my friend, Graeme after visiting him for one of his front-room music recording sessions, which he does for his radio show on Leith FM (also available on line at www.leithfm.co.uk - plug plug)
